  • Ray Sparks
    (1930 – 2014)
    Ray Sparks served in the United States Navy, was a Master Plumber, and owner of Borden Plumbing in Xenia, OH and went on to become a plumbing inspector for Clark County. He retired from the Clark County Combined Health District in 2013. Raymond was the past president of the Dayton Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors, Board member and Life member of the OAPI, a certified Ohio Backflow instructor, and a member of the National Association of Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Contractors.

    West Chester- C. David Hudson was born to proud parents Charles & Margaret Hudson (nee Godbey) on December 31, 1942 in Cincinnati, OH. C. David passed away on December 18, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Jerri Ann Hudson (nee Lynam); devoted father of Dave (Gail) Hudson II, Scott (Derrick) Hudson, Heather (Matt) Elwood, & Ross (Carrie) Hudson; cherished grandfather of Angel, Kaley, the late Sara, Maddie, Cole, Bren, Will, Olivia, Hank, & Serenity; and loving great-grandfather of Evan, Joslynn, Layla, & Alanna.   • Ralph Reeb
    Reeb Ralph J. Reeb, age 51, of Baltimore, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his residence. He was a 1981 St. Francis De Sales graduate and a 1985 Capital University Graduate. He was a State of Ohio Plumbing Chief, head of the Ohio’s Backflow Program and an instructor for plumbing apprentices, a Walnut Township Zoning Administrator, a member of the O.A.P.I., the P.H.C.C. and the A.P.H.C. He was a an avid outdoorsman who loved being with his friends and family who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy M. Reeb of Baltimore; children, Sarah and Ryan Reeb of Baltimore; mother, Norma (Bill) Rose of Westerville; father, Ronald H. (Jan) Reeb of FL; sisters, Karen (Mark) Hedstrom of FL and Kathy (Rick) Payne of CA; brother, Ronnie “RC” Reeb of Westerville; mother and father-in-law, Roger (Eileen) Miller of Butler; sisters-in-law, Reva (Gary) Lewis of Westerville; Holly (Lance) Tate of Powell; best friend, Merico Merendo; several loving nieces and nephews; and all his second sons. He was preceded in death by his good friend Father Rod DiPietro. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, 600 Hill Rd.     Mario J. Di Franco, 75, of Willoughby, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023.
    Born Sept. 8, 1947, in Cleveland, he had lived in the Collinwood area of Cleveland before moving to Willoughby 32 years ago.
    Mario was a master plumber and had a deep love for his trade. He was the owner of Mario J. Di Franco Plumbing Company and served as the plumbing inspector for Willoughby and Lake County. Additionally, he held the position of Chief Building Official for the City of Willoughby Hills. Mario also enjoyed assisting contractors in obtaining their State of Ohio Plumbing License and taught continuing education as a certified instructor through the OCILB.     Nick Sabo, age 87, of Upper Arlington, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 6, 2007, at his home following a courageous battle with an extended illness. Nick was the co-owner of Sabo and Speakman Plumbing & Heating Co., and sole owner of Sabo Plumbing and Heating. He also retired as plumbing inspector with the City of Columbus after many years.

    Ronald L. Tingler, 79 of Bloomingdale, went to his Heavenly home on May 1, 2019 after a short illness.
    Born January 6, 1940 to the late Floyd and Ina Tingler of Follansbee, he was a lifetime resident of the area.   • Gerald A. “Jerry” Kehoe
    (1942 – 2022)
    Gerald A. “Jerry” Kehoe, 80, of Garrettsville, passed away with his loving wife and family by his side on Sunday, October 16, 2022. He was born in Cleveland on February 13, 1942, to the late William and Margaret (nee Wagner) Kehoe, Jr.

    In his early years after graduating from high school, Jerry was a union plumber. After moving to Parkman, he was the Geauga County plumbing inspector. He was pivotal in creating the Parkman Chamber of Commerce as well as being deeply involved in the community.

  • Edward P. “Ed” Hartman
    (1957 – 2017)
    Edward P. “Ed” Hartman, age 59, passed away on March 18, 2017 at home with those he loved most by his side after fighting cancer for 20 months. He was born on August 10, 1957 and grew up in Mogadore, graduating from Mogadore High School then completing his apprenticeship to become a journeyman plumber/pipefitter. Ed retired after 32 years of service on his 55th birthday. He was also an Ohio State Plumbing Inspector and after retiring enjoyed working at Mayfair Country Club Golf Course, where he also spent many enjoyable days golfing.

He was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 97 in Springfield and Local 168 in Dayton, served as City, County and State of Ohio Plumbing Inspector and worked 23 years at Navistar.

    Dave Lee Bunn, age 72, passed away on November 21, 2020. He was born in Miamisburg, Ohio to the late S.M. (Red) and Sylvia Bunn. Dave was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed. He was passionate about hot rods, a huge Mopar fan and a collector of many things. He was a plumber for J&B Plumbing for 17 years and retired as Plumbing Inspector for the City of Kettering where he worked for more than 25 years.

  • Dale Eugene Ward
    (May 8, 1941 – July 13, 2019 )
    Dale Eugene Ward, age 78 of Cambridge, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 13, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 8, 1941 in Hendrysburg, Ohio a son of the late Donald W. Ward and Mary Louise (McNichols) Ward.
    Dale retired from the former Cambridge State Hospital in 1993 with over 30 years of service. He was also the County Plumbing Inspector for many years as well. Dale was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Cambridge Kiwanis Club. He worked many projects with the Kiwanis including setting up the Sno Cone trailer and helping operate it at the fireworks for may years.

  • Danny George
    (1929 – 2020)
    Danny (Wilburn) George was born in Columbus on August 10, 1929. He passed away in his home on October 12, 2020.
    Danny joined the army during WWII, served in the Allied Occupation of Japan and turned 18 on the ship on his way home. Danny began learning the plumbing trade after his army service, developed his company George Plumbing, went on to become a plumbing inspector in Licking County, then the City of Columbus. Danny’s version of retirement was to develop CODES which provided certification instructions for plumbers. Danny was a good man who loved selflessly, worked hard, with strong character and integrity, continued learning and teaching throughout his life.

  • Martin A. Wollenberg
    (1920 – 2016)
    Martin A. Wollenberg passed away at Somerset Health and Rehab Center surrounded by family on June 7, 2016. He was born November 7, 1920 in New Lexington, Ohio. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

    Martin was a 1939 graduate of New Lexington High School and following high school; he went to Columbus to become an apprentice to a journeyman plumber. He was drafted in 1942 and left for basic training shortly after that.

    Martin served in the 36th Division Texas Unit, of which he was the only Ohio boy in the unit. Martin served in the European Theater during World War II. His tour started in North Africa, moved on to Italy, then France, Germany, and finally Austria. He was honorably discharged in 1945 with the rank of staff sergeant.

    After being discharged, he started Wollenberg Plumbing and Heating in 1946 in New Lexington, Ohio. In 1972, he had the opportunity to work as a State of Ohio Plumbing Inspector until he finally retired in1982.

    Robert was born in Prospect, PA on June 22, 1931 to the late Clarence A. Diener and Ella Goldina (Grossman) Doughty. He passed away at his residence on March 4, 2018.

    Prior to retirement in 2007, he was a plumber and was a plumbing inspector for the city of Newark for 31 years. He also served as chief inspector for the State of Ohio for five years.     JOSEPH A. INSANA, 75, of Wickliffe and Florida, died peacefully at his Wickliffe home on Thursday, January 30, 2014. Born May 29, 1938 in Aultman, Pennsylvania, Joe was a resident of Wickliffe for 44 years. He graduated from Collinwood High School in 1956. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Karen (Ogurchak) and children.
    He served in the Army Reserve from 1959 to 1965. He worked for many years mastering the plumbing trade.   • Roger L. Wolf
    Roger L. Wolf, age 87, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, at the Ohio Masonic Home.

    He was born on Dec. 11, 1927, in Springfield, Ohio.

    He served in the United States Merchant Marines during World War for 5 years, also in the United States Navy. He graduated from Springfield High School.
